Cake Pop Instructions

Follow this recipe, I used strawberry cake mix instead of red velvet on this particular batch. Roll the cake into about 1-inch balls so that the lollipop sticks will be able to support the weight of the cake. (Trust me on this one, Halley and I had a little bit of a disaster the first go-around)

After step #4, where you freeze the cake balls for about 30 minutes, you stick lollipop sticks into the middle of them.


Dip them into melted chocolate or white chocolate and then stick into styrofoam to dry.


Some will obviously come out prettier than others. But, wrap some ribbon around them, decorate the styrofoam and you will have a great treat to bring to a party/shower/potluck.


Word on the street is that Starbucks is now selling these for about $1.25 a pop, it’s much more fun and cost effective to make these yourself!
