Roasted Garbanzo Beans

This is a delicious recipe for a high protein, high fiber snack. The garbanzo beans end up becoming nice and crunchy, after being roasted.

Adapted from

  • 1 can garbanzo beans, drained
  • 2 Tablespoons olive oil
  • Cayenne Pepper
  • Garlic Powder
  • Salt

1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees.

2. Blot chickpeas with a paper towel to dry them. In a bowl, toss garbanzo beans with olive oil and season to taste with salt, garlic powder, and cayenne pepper.

3. Spread on a baking sheet and bake for 30 to 40 minutes, until browned and crunch. Watch carefully the last few minutes to avoid burning. (Mine were done in 30 minutes)

So obviously, a few of my beans were burnt, but delicious nonetheless.

I made these too and they are AMMMMAAAZING! I roasted mine with some mushrooms and put them in a salad and it was the perfect crunch! I had some nice garlicy breath afterwards too so if you eat them on the go, pack some gum or mints 🙂
